Simple Venison Slow Cooker Recipe

- 1 cup uncooked brown rice
- 2 to 4 potatoes or sweet potatoes
- 2 cups chopped vegetables (carrots, broccoli, etc.)
- 6 cups water or beef broth

- 5 pounds ground venison or venison chunks
- 2 cans chicken broth (50 oz each)
- 4 cups water
- 3 pounds frozen corn (or 3 cans, 16 oz each)
- 3 pounds uncooked brown rice
Instructions:
- Coat the pan with olive oil or baking spray over medium-high heat.
- Brown the venison in the pan, stirring frequently until all sides are browned.
- Add chicken broth, water, and corn, then bring the mixture to a boil.
- Pour in the brown rice, mix, cover, and bring back to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer for an hour, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and let the stew cool overnight in the refrigerator before serving.
- Portion out servings and store in plastic bags or containers for freezing. Warm briefly in the microwave before feeding.
