Simple Venison Slow Cooker Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound venison (ground or chopped into bite-size pieces) Get it HERE
  • 1 cup uncooked brown rice
  • 2 to 4 potatoes or sweet potatoes
  • 2 cups chopped vegetables (carrots, broccoli, etc.)
  • 6 cups water or beef broth

Instructions:

  • Olive oil or baking spray
  • 5 pounds ground venison or venison chunks
  • 2 cans chicken broth (50 oz each)
  • 4 cups water
  • 3 pounds frozen corn (or 3 cans, 16 oz each)
  • 3 pounds uncooked brown rice

Instructions:

  1. Coat the pan with olive oil or baking spray over medium-high heat.
  2. Brown the venison in the pan, stirring frequently until all sides are browned.
  3. Add chicken broth, water, and corn, then bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Pour in the brown rice, mix, cover, and bring back to a boil.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for an hour, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove from heat and let the stew cool overnight in the refrigerator before serving.
  7. Portion out servings and store in plastic bags or containers for freezing. Warm briefly in the microwave before feeding.
